Project & Role Overview

Apex Construction is expanding our network and opening multiple 1099 positions for highly skilled, licensed, and self-sufficient trade professionals across the state of Maine. We are seeking independent contractors to partner with us on a steady mix of commercial facility maintenance, commercial tenant build-outs, and residential property service projects.

We are actively onboarding professional:

    •    Licensed Plumbers

    •    Licensed Electricians

    •    Experienced Carpenters

Available Positions & Scope of Deliverables

1. Licensed Plumbers (1099)

    •    Commercial Work: Clear commercial sink lines and execute preventative maintenance to minimize drainage or drink machine back-ups.

    •    Residential Work: Handle diagnostic troubleshooting, valve replacements, fixture updates, and pipe repairs.

2. Licensed Electricians (1099)

    •    Commercial Work: Safely troubleshoot facility fixtures, pull power for commercial equipment upgrades, and run wiring.

    •    Residential Work: Manage standard residential service panel upgrades, wiring fixes, and fixture installations.

3. Carpenters (1099)

    •    Commercial Work: Execute tenant build-outs, structural storefront modifications, and commercial door hardware installations (e.g., heavy-duty continuous hinges).

    •    Residential Work: Handle structural framing adjustments, structural modifications, and finish trim carpentry.

Contract Details & Compensation

    •    Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099 / Corp-to-Corp)

    •    Location: Statewide coverage across Maine (job sites vary regionally)

    •    Schedule: Project-based / On-call rotations for facility dispatches

    •    Compensation: Competitive contract rates based on your specific trade, licensing level, and experience. We invite qualified contractors to submit their standard hourly or project-based fee schedules during the application process.

Required Credentials & Qualifications

    •    Trade Licensing: Active State of Maine Master or Journeyman licensing is mandatory for all plumbing and electrical positions.

    •    Carpentry Experience: Documented field experience in commercial framing, fit-outs, or high-end residential carpentry.

    •    Tools & Transit: Contractors must provide their own reliable service vehicle, ladders, and commercial-grade tools.
